Q. What products does ctrlcenter support?

Q. Are you open on weekends?
A. ctrlcenter Technical Advisors are available 7 days a week.
Q. Can ctrlcenter fix any technology or computer-related problem?
A. We try our hardest and most of the time we are successful. However, there have been times when we get stumped. If this happens, you will not be charged for your ‘Help Session’.
Q. What is ‘screen sharing’ and how does it work?
A. ctrlcenter uses a technology similar to that used by many corporate help desks. It is an innovative Internet based technology that lets us help you by sharing your computer with you. You will be able to watch as we access your mouse and solve your problem. This is the fastest, easiest way for ctrlcenter to solve your technology problem and get you up and running again. It’s as if we are sitting right next to you.
Q. Is ‘screen sharing’ safe?
A. ctrlcenter’s screen sharing technology is 100% safe. You can watch ctrlcenter share your mouse and cancel our session at any time. Also, once our session is over, ctrlcenter can never again access your computer without your permission. ctrlcenter also records “screen sharing” sessions for training and quality control purposes.
Q. Can I use ‘screen sharing’ if I have dial-up internet access?
A. For optimal results, a broadband connection is preferred.
Q. What is my ‘Dashboard’ and why do I need one?
A. Your Dashboard is your very own place on ctrlcenter. When you come back to ctrlcenter, Dashboard allows us to remember you. We will give you important messages and information that are specific to your personal technology and computer. ctrlcenter keeps track of all the help sessions that you’ve had with us and the technical advisors who have assisted you. Your Advisor’s notes for each Help Session can be viewed here. Your Dashboard can also be used to store information about your computer’s settings and devices (e.g., MP3 player, digital camera).
Q. Does ctrlcenter provide in-home service? What if I need someone to come to my house?
A. ctrlcenter is committed to solving your technology problem. If we can not help you remotely, we will help you find someone to provide in-home service. Luckily, almost all problems can be solved without requiring an expensive in-home visit.
Q. Can ctrlcenter help me with my Apple computer?
A. ctrlcenter supports the Apple iPod, but does not currently support MAC OS X.
Q. How long is my Single Help Session good for if I don’t use it when it’s purchased?
A. We know you can’t predict when you may need help, therefore, your help session will never expire.
